Wisconsin

AP Credit and Placement Policy

Nearly three-quarters of all states, including Wisconsin, have implemented statewide or systemwide AP credit policies, which typically require all public higher education institutions to award credit for AP Exam scores of 3 or higher.

AP Funding

Wisconsin currently does not provide funding for AP Exams. Wisconsin public school districts are responsible by law to pay AP Exam fees for students who qualify for free or reduced-price lunches.

SAT Policies and Use by Colleges

Nearly all colleges in this state consider SAT or ACT scores in admission for students who choose to submit them, and many also use them to award scholarships and place students in appropriate first-year courses.
